If you are looking for an easy, fun, meditative hand stitching project, look no further! Discover the joy of chicken scratch embroidery with me in this online class.

Chicken scratch embroidery (which I also refer to as "snowflake embroidery") is a vintage stitching method that I have spent the past several years stitching and incorporating into my own work. It is always stitched onto a base of gingham cloth. The gingham squares will be your stitching grid. In this online class, I will share with you the supplies you'll need, the techniques of the simple stitches, as well as the tips and tricks I have learned along the way.

Together we will make a gorgeous 21" square chicken scratch star that you can finish as you wish- I've made these into mini quilts, pillows, and have used them as part of a larger chicken scratch quilt.

Once you learn the steps, you can customize this stitching method into all different kinds of motifs. This type of embroidery is meditative, easy to do, and very portable.
