Chicken Scratch Sampler

A 6 week journey through 9 different Chicken Scratch, and Chicken Scratch-inspired embroidery patterns.

Experience the absolute joy of stitching Chicken Scratch embroidery!

Learn the essentials of Chicken Scratch embroidery. This vintage craft has been around for a very long time, and it is known by many names in other parts of the world. But here in the US we know it best as Chicken Scratch embroidery. For this project, Blair is combining her love of Chicken Scratch embroidery and her love of vintage stitching samplers. The final project can become a mini- or wall quilt, a sewing machine cover (how Blair uses hers), a pillow, or something else entirely!

In this video course and sew along, we will create an embroidery "sampler" style panel and learn 9 different Chicken Scratch embroidery patterns. Each week, for 6 weeks, a new lesson(s) will be unlocked, taking you through new steps to complete the sampler.
